  I think Alyeska has the highest elevation drop in Alaska but I could be wrong. Needless to say we're pretty ok with snow up here in Alaska, there's so much snow here you can't believe it. The skiing is perfect perfect! I cannot get enough of this mountain ever! Do wear plenty of clothes though. Says Brian Nelson.

This ski mountain has an average ratio of hard slopes and an average ratio of beginner and intermediate runs. This is a normal size ski hill
    boasting a medium drop if compared to other west coast ski hills. Alyeska has an acceptable collection of runs and enough lifts to serve them all. This ski area has 68 slopes that you can ski on; there's a delightful diversity to
satisfy everyone. This ski mountain has a vertical drop of 2,500 feet which is plenty for a good top to bottom run. Alyeska has more than average snow each winter season. Snowboarding and skiing in this region is a lot of fun through the winter. Alyeska has the most sizeable elevation difference for 1965 miles. The snow covered peaks of the Chugach Mountains make for a glorious vista. All of the 9 great ski lifts make for a calming ride up the mountain. The natural  
splendor of the Alaska mountaintops and the buzz of rocketing down a slope have snow skiers coming from far and wide. Having the skiing land being 1,000 acres you will never run out of skiable area. The snow here gets especially deep, 65 feet every winter, and that is one of the finest characteristics of this ski hill. A fine workout and spending some quality time in the great outdoors are fine reasons to come. In winter the Chugach Mountains is a very glorious spot if you enjoy skiing and snowboarding. This ski hill has a good pick of ski runs to match all abilities; it's impossible to get bored here. No need to hunt hard for accommodations, but you'd better book ahead of going because these accommodations fill up quick. The snowy peaks of Alaska are a glorious spot for skiing and snowboarding.
