Dodge Ridge ski area, Central Sierra Nevada, California
|
| | Dodge Ridge is a great place for families and beginner skiers! You can't lose your kids like you can at the bigger resorts. They have a great all-day ski school program. They recently put in a new lodge, now all they need is some snow-making equipment. says Bonnie.
I've been skiing Dodge since the early seventies. It seems to get better each year. The crowd that hangs there is warm and mixes well. It's fun to yell single just to see who turns up. See ya on the hill. says John S.:.
Dodge Ridge is a pretty small resort |
compared to other ones nearby but it's got some really really good runs to get your adrenaline pumping. I prefer this place to many other larger resorts nearby. says Tom.
This ski resort has 10 great ski lifts, and they will get you up the slope well.
| | The yearly snowfall is greater than average at this ski mountain. This ski hill obtains so much wonderful snow, 33 feet every year, and that is one of the greatest characteristics of this ski hill. This ski hill has 59 ski trails that you could ski on; there's a wonderful array to satisfy everyone. The 1,600 feet of drop from top to bottom is quite reasonable; Dodge Ridge makes the most of it all. Skiing and snowboarding here in California is a nice thing to do all through the winter. exercise and an opportunity to spend some time in the fresh air beats anything. Having 815 acres of skiable territory you will never be without terrain. This ski area has a decent diversity of runs and an okay choice of lifts. You may be into skiing or snowboarding,
or both, doesn't matter, in this general area, you'll encounter scores of ski areas. This ski area has a much lower than average percentage of red and black slopes and a much higher than average percentage of blue and green runs. No other ski mountain for 28 miles
has a more sky-scraping elevation difference. This is a typical size ski area with a medium elevation difference when you compare it to other ski mountains in the region. This ski hill has a wonderful selection of runs to suit all abilities; it's completely out
of the question to get bored here. The California highlands in the winter are always great for skiing and snowboarding. The Central Sierra Nevada and its highlands give this ski hill an enormously great sight. The pretty splendor of the California mountaintops
and the rush of zipping down a slope are cause enough to come here to ski. The Central Sierra Nevada covered in snow is so picturesque you won’t believe it. Dodge Ridge is a wonderful ski hill for the whole family with many beginner and intermediate runs. The
nearby lodgings are a bit far from the base zone, and if you make reservations in advance of a trip, you're all set.
Special features: 5 progression parks located throughout the park for all ability levels.
