Kirkwood ski area, Northern Sierra Nevada, California   With 2,300 acres of skiing territory you won't be deficient in terrain. Kirkwood receives more than average snow every ski season. Kirkwood is a good size ski resort with a roughly average height difference compared to other west coast ski areas. This ski hill has a decent collection of ski slopes and scores of great ski lifts. On this slope you'll come across 65 different ski runs; there's a perfect range to suit everyone. Kirkwood has an average percentage of red and black runs and an average part of beginner and     intermediate ski slopes. All of the 15 ski lifts are cool to hitch a ride with. The skiing and the snowboarding in California is a tremendous thing to do all season long. The 2,000 feet of vertical drop is rather ok; Kirkwood makes the most of it. The amazing annual snowfall of 42 feet is one of the finest features of this ski hill. Winter in the mountains of California and first-rate trails have people coming from far and wide.
