This ski area gets covered by stronger than average snow each ski season. This ski resort has a much lower than average fraction of expert and advanced slopes and a much higher than average share of blue and green slopes. This ski area has a good diversity of slopes and scores of ski lifts. Northstar at Tahoe is a more sizeable than average ski mountain with an average drop when compared to other west coast ski areas. has 17 great ski lifts, and they are satisfactorily kept up and operated by caring folks. Having a sum of 70 slopes to ski on; it's a good range. Hotel rooms are offered close to the base area, but do reserve a room prior to departure as it is a very popular destination.
