Bear Mountain ski area, San Bernardino Mountains, California

  This ski hill has a height difference of 1,665 feet; Bear Mountain makes the most of it all. No other ski resort for 53 miles has a more soaring elevation difference. This ski mountain has a much lower than average ratio of demanding runs and a much higher than average percentage of intermediate or beginner trails. All of the 12 different ski lifts are in splendid shape. This ski hill has a reasonable set of trails and a good choice of ski lifts. With the skiing land being 750 acres you won't be deficient in skiable

There are delightful comfy places to stay here, and if you make reservations in advance of a trip, you're all set. Getting your skiing muscles activated and just being on the ski trails for a while have ski folks coming here. This is a splendid place for the whole family with scores of easy trails for beginners. You may be into skiing or snowboarding, or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of splendid ski resorts for that in the vicinity. The winter vista of the California highlands and the good feeling of zipping down the ski slopes have lots of folks coming here. The snow covered mountaintops of the San Bernardino Mountains is a panorama worth seeing.
