Mt. Rose ski area, Northern Sierra Nevada, Nevada
|
| | Having 1,200 acres of skiable area being short of skiing land won’t happen. The beautiful snow here becomes really deep, 33 feet per year, and that is an exceptionally pleasant depth. This is an average size ski resort with a roughly average drop from top to bottom compared to other west coast ski hills. There are 8 good ski lifts here, and they are in great shape. This ski hill gets covered by greater than average snow each winter. There are a number of great hotel rooms right next door to the base area, but you'd |

better book before heading out in view of the fact that these hotel rooms fill up swiftly. The 1,800 feet of altitude difference is relatively okay; Mt. Rose makes great use of it all. The nearest ski hill boasting a more soaring drop from top to bottom is 279
| | miles away. All in all there are 60 runs to select from; there are ample runs for every capability. Winter in the mountains of Nevada and all the great ski trails make the spree here worthwhile. Mt. Rose has a much higher than average percentage of demanding ski slopes and a percentage of beginner and intermediate ski slopes much lower than average. This ski area has a decent array of ski trails and an ok choice of great ski lifts. Mt. Rose is a fine ski resort with loads of different trails; there's absolutely no way | |

to get bored here. The lovely snow blanketed Northern Sierra Nevada mountains are a magnificent place for skiing and snowboarding. The Northern Sierra Nevada and its mountains is a view worth seeing. Whether you're skiing or snowboarding, there are scores of glorious
places for that around here. These ski slopes are reasonably psychotic sometimes; they'll make you really feel ten years younger. The Nevada mountains in the wintertime are something you can’t pass up if you're interested in skiing and snowboarding. A glorious
workout and just being on the slopes for a while outclasses anything. The snowboarding and the skiing in this part of the country is so much fun through the ski season. Skiing here at Mt. Rose always an amusing experience with heaps of black and red trails.
Special
features: Mt. Rose will offer 2 terrain parks for this season: Doubledown & Badlands. Both parks are located in the Slide Bowl and have a variety of features.
