| | The fantastic annual snowfall of 17 feet is one of the reasons this is such a delightful ski hill. There's 429 acres of skiing territory, and it's all in good shape. Buttermilk is a petite ski mountain having a medium elevation difference when you compare it to other ski areas in the region. This ski hill's drop from top to bottom of 2,030 feet is splendid. On this mountain you'll run into 41 different trails; it's a great assortment. This ski hill has 7 great ski lifts, and they make for a peaceful ride up the mountain. |

This ski area has a reasonable diversity of ski slopes and an okay number of lifts. The picturesque loveliness of the Colorado hills and the rush of gliding down a slope make the trip here worthwhile. There are scores of accommodations here if you want to stay
| | an extra day, but if you don’t have reservations, you could end up slumbering in your car. This ski mountain has a much lower than average ratio of demanding runs and a much higher than average percentage of intermediate or beginner ski slopes.
