with. The unbelievable 21 feet of seasonal snowfall is ample for especially good depth. The 1,440 feet of drop is pretty acceptable; it's enough to get some decent time on the trails between lifts. The mountains of Montana in the winter are something you can’t
| | pass up if by chance you're into snowboarding and skiing. Blacktail Mountain has a much lower than average percentage of expert and advanced ski runs and a much higher than average part of intermediate or beginner ski slopes. This ski area has a good set of ski slopes and few ski lifts. Snowboarding and skiing in this part of Montana is a lot of fun the whole winter. Having 1,000 acres of skiable land you will never run out of skiing territory. This is a family friendly ski mountain with loads of blue and green slopes. | |

Whether you're skiing or snowboarding, there are lots of good spots for that in the neighborhood. There aren’t any hotel rooms close at hand, but if you're prepared to voyage a short distance then no problem, but if you don’t have reservations, you may well end
up sleeping in your car.
