hill effectively. The 1,700 feet of height difference is not too bad; it's sufficient to get some decent time on the trails between lifts. The mind-boggling yearly snowfall of 10 feet is an unbelievably tremendous coverage. The wonderful
| | view of the New Mexico mountaintops and tremendous slopes are in themselves cause enough to come here to ski. Getting your skiing muscles started and getting out of the house for a while have people coming here. With a total of 30 runs to ski on; it's a tremendous range. The skiing and the snowboarding in this region is scores of fun the whole winter. The nearest ski hill with a higher vertical drop is 54 miles away. Sandia Peak has a much lower than average | |

ratio of hard trails and a much higher than average share of green and blue trails. This ski hill has an ok assortment of trails and enough different ski lifts to serve them all. Sandia Peak is a great ski hill for everyone with a

| |
lot of beginner and intermediate trails. The snowy summits of New Mexico are a delightful spot for snowboarding or skiing. There aren’t any hotel rooms close at hand, but if you're ready to voyage a small length then no problem, but you'd better book before heading out in view of the fact that these hotel rooms fill up quick. Some people prefer skiing and some snowboarding, either way, there are not too many other magnificent places for that in the neighborhood.
