Sipapu ski area, Sangre De Cristo Mountains, New Mexico
|
| | The 1,055 feet of drop from top to bottom is reasonably okay; it's enough to get some decent time on the ski runs between lifts. This ski hill has snowfall close to the local average each ski season. There's 200 acres of skiable terrain, and it's all blanketed by fluffy snow. This ski area has 31 trails that you can ski on; there's a great array to suit everyone. This is a smaller than average ski resort boasting a quite relaxed vertical drop when compared to other US Rockies ski hills. Getting your skiing muscles set |

in motion and an opportunity to spend some time in the wilderness is better than anything. The 4 lifts here make for a peaceful ride up the slope. Sipapu has an average share of advanced and expert ski trails and an average fraction of green and blue trails. Sipapu
| | has a decent mixture of trails and quite few ski lifts. The fluffy snow here gets extremely deep, 16 feet every winter, and that is more than enough for extremely fine coverage. In wintertime the Sangre De Cristo Mountains is a sheer skiing and snowboarding heaven. The natural splendor of the New Mexico summits and the kick of speeding down a slope have snow folks coming from near and far. The nearest ski hill boasting a more sky-scraping vertical drop is 26 miles away. The Sangre De Cristo Mountains and its hills is a sight | |

worth seeing. Some people prefer skiing and some snowboarding, either way, this is an area with a lot of spots for that. There aren’t any lodgings close by, but if you're willing to go a short distance then no problem, but if you don’t have reservations, you may
well end up snoozing in your car. Skiing and snowboarding in this part of the country is a great thing to do all snow season long. The hills of New Mexico in the winter are something you can’t leave out if by chance you're interested in skiing and snowboarding. Sipapu has a good pick of slopes to fit all abilities; there's no way to get bored here.
