Whether you're skiing or snowboarding, in this general neighborhood, you won't encounter many other ski areas. The Sacramento Mountains blanketed in good snow is so delightful you won’t believe it. The skiing and the snowboarding in this region is a lot of fun the whole ski season. You may have to settle for a hotel a bit far away from the base zone if you want to stay for the night, but you'd better book before heading out as these hotels fill up quickly. A bit of exercise and spending some quality time in the great outdoors attract snow people from near and far. The delightful landscape of the New Mexico highlands and the truly great trails are great attractions for a lot of snow people.
