| | Deer Valley ski area Management Says: DEER VALLEY RESORT, PARK CITY, UTAH (Winter, 2008/2009) ? While some ski resorts strive to be ?bigger,? Deer Valley Resort has always sought to be ?better.? Opened in 1981 as an intimate affair, the Resort has expanded since then, but has remained focused on retaining its open, inviting and uncrowded environment. Last year?s addition of the new Lady Morgan Express chairlift and nine new ski runs on 200+ additional acres has |
been a huge draw to both new and returning ski guests. ?Opening up the Lady Morgan section of the mountain last season has truly rounded out our mountain experience,? says Bob Wheaton, Resort president and general manager. ?Although
| | we opened up a new chairlift and nine new runs, we kept our skier cap of 6,500 tickets sold per day. So, we have more room and fewer skiers and our guests love the new area. And the proximity to the Empire Canyon Lodge for lunch makes it really convenient. Some guests are spending their entire day on that side of the mountain, skiing Empire Canyon and Lady Morgan exclusively. There?s that much terrain to explore. Sixty-five of the 200+ acres we added last year | |

in Lady Morgan are gladed. We now have 930 acres of glade skiing and some of the best tree skiing in the world here at DeerValley?. The powder in the trees, the quiet ? it?s an unforgettable experience.? It is this commitment to

quality and an intimate ski vacation experience that has resulted in Deer Valley again being rated the #1 ski resort in North America by the readers of SKI magazine. Just 36 miles from the Salt Lake City International Airport via mostly Interstate Highway, getting to Deer Valley?s mountains is a snap. With hundreds of daily flights in and out of Salt Lake City International Airport, skiers can arrive at the airport by late morning, and be on the slopes at
|
Deer Valley by early afternoon. Add in 350 annual inches of famous Utah dry powder, 99 trails, six bowls, 22 chairlifts and a limited number of skiers allowed on the mountain each day; three elegant day lodges glowing warm with firelight
and gourmet cuisine; a renowned Ski School and Children?s Center; a Central Reservations department of vacation planning experts to book everything from ski rentals and lodging to restaurant reservations; and unsurpassed services
and amenities such as parking lot shuttles and free ski valets ? and you have a stress-free, oh-so-satisfying winter ski vacation experience unlike any other. That?s what is commonly referred to as the ?Deer Valley Difference?. For

IN IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE 2008/2009 SKI SEASON DEER VALLEY RESORT, PARK CITY, UTAH (Winter 2008/2009) ? Deer Valley Resort invested $8 million in improvements over the summer in preparation for the 2008/2009 ski season. ?Last
summer, we had some major changes here at Deer Valley?, installing our new high-speed detachable quad chairlift, Lady Morgan Express, and creating nine new ski runs in the Empire Canyon area,? reports Bob Wheaton, Resort president
and general manager. ?The improvements this summer were more subtle, but just as important to providing a top notch guest experience. Since dining is truly one of the most enjoyed aspects of our guests? time at Deer Valley, two of
our biggest projects for 2008/2009 were replacing the existing Cushing?s Cabin with a larger and updated model and also remodeling Empire Canyon Lodge. We?re also very proud of the fact that we?ve invested in 50 cabins that will house
200 of our seasonal employees at the nearby River?s Edge Resort at Deer Park. That more than doubles our seasonal work force housing capacity.? Improvements at Deer Valley Resort for the 2008/2009 ski season include: Replacement
of the existing Cushing?s Cabin at the top of Flagstaff Mountain, adjacent to the Northside Express, Quincy Express, Silver Strike Express and Ruby Express chairlifts. The new cabin seats 40 to 45 guests, features updated restrooms
and will house Flagstaff Mountain Ski Patrol. The new cabin will offer a similar menu as in years past - Remodel of the Empire Canyon Lodge to allow more upstairs seating and improve the flow through the beverage and food service
areas - Replacement of the main snowmaking line from the Snow Park snowmaking lakes to the bottom of the Carpenter Express and Silver Lake Express chairlifts - Replacement of five snowcats, including one winch cat - Replacement
of 44 snowmobiles at the Summit Meadows Adventures snowmobile operation - The addition of 50 cabins at the River?s Edge Resort at Deer Park, which will house approximately 200 Deer Valley Resort seasonal employees. This more than
doubles Deer Valley?s already-existing seasonal workforce housing capacity. Deer Valley Resort will provide shuttle transportation to and from the employee housing and the Resort Deer Valley Resort has invested nearly $122 million in improvements since 1990.
