Mount Southington

Do you guys mix up your terrain park at all? I go to Penn State University but i do live in CT. Says Marian Whitney.

You know we have grass skiing in the summer or ''off months''. There is also water slides where you just cover the ground with big plastic sheets and then run water down them. There is also ''moutain bording'' that is just a skate bourd with larger wheels. You could be open all year round if you wanted too. I can set all of these up
if you are interested. Says Pat Butler.

The 425 foot altitude difference is naturally not that much to brag about, but all the other tremendous properties of Mount Southington make up for it. This is a petite ski resort featuring
a relaxed height difference compared to other east coast ski mountains. This ski area has 8 different ski lifts, and they will get you up the mountain effectively. Having 51 acres of skiable area, it's more of a cozy style ski area. The snowboarding and the skiing in Connecticut is so much fun all ski season long. Every snow season this ski mountain gets 7 feet of wonderful snow, and that keeps the coverage great. Mount Southington has a rather modest selection
of runs and enough different ski lifts to serve them all. This ski hill has 14 ski trails, and they are totally amusing. This ski resort has a much lower than average proportion of advanced and expert runs and a much higher than average fraction of blue and green runs. This ski resort receives lower snowfall than the local average every winter. Getting your skiing muscles set in motion and getting out of the house for a while will make you happy you came. If you'll be sleeping in a hotel, you're in luck, accommodations are on hand in the vicinity of the bottom of the hill, but do reserve a room before you go because it is a very popular destination. You could be into skiing or snowboarding, or both, doesn't matter, there are lots of nice places for that in close proximity. When this section of Connecticut is covered in ice cold snow; it is so charming for skiing or snowboarding.
