Powder Ridge ski area, Connecticut
|
| | Powder Ridge is closed for season due to pending sale. says jm.
Powder Ridge boasts less than average snow every ski season. Powder Ridge is a petite ski hill in possession of a petite elevation difference when you compare it to other ski areas in the region. The 500 foot vertical drop is naturally not that much to brag about, but Powder Ridge has so many other fine attributes. The skiable area being 88 acres, it's more of a petite style ski mountain. No other ski area for 25 miles has a higher elevation difference. |
|
This ski area has a much lower than average fraction of demanding ski trails and a much higher than average fraction of green and blue ski runs. There are brilliant comfortable hotels here, but you'd better book previous to going as these hotels fill up quickly.
| | The 5 great ski lifts here make for a peaceful ride up the mountain. This ski area has a modest assortment of ski runs and enough good ski lifts to serve them all. The 5 feet of snow that falls here per winter is not enormously high, but it's reasonable. This ski area has 19 ski trails, and they are cool to ski on. The skiing and the snowboarding in Connecticut is a tremendous thing to do through the snow season. This is a great location for everybody with loads of green and blue runs for beginners. A magnificent workout | |

and a chance to spend some time in the great outdoors will make you happy you came. When this segment of Connecticut is blanketed in fluffy snow; it is so pretty for snowboarding or skiing. You may be into skiing or snowboarding, or both, doesn't matter, in this
general region, you'll run into a lot of ski resorts. Loads of skiers from Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford like to ski here.
