All of the 5 great ski lifts are capably kept up and controlled by kind folks. The annual snowfall of 5 feet is pretty reasonable for a ski area such as this one. Powder Ridge is a small-size ski area having a rather small drop compared to other east coast ski hills. The 500 foot vertical drop is of course not that much to brag about, but Powder Ridge makes up for it with other things. Powder Ridge obtains lower snowfall than the local average each

    season. With 88 acres of skiing territory, it's petite enough to get to know all your fellow snow people. The snowboarding and the skiing in this part of the country is a lot of fun the whole snow season. Powder Ridge has a much lower than average ratio of advanced
and expert runs and a much higher than average share of blue and green ski trails. This ski area has 19 slopes, and they are splendid. A little exercise and just hanging out with your skiing mates is better than anything. Powder Ridge has the biggest drop among ski hills in a 25 mile radius. This ski mountain has a rather modest mixture of ski trails and sufficient different ski lifts to serve them all.
