| | I have the great fortune of living near Catamount so I can go pretty much any time I want. It's a great ski area for being of moderate size. Good variety of runs, no chance of getting bored. says Ron.
The 1,000 feet of drop is reasonably ok; it's sufficient to get some decent time on the slopes between lifts. Catamount is a small-size ski hill in possession of a drop that's roughly average when compared to other east coast ski areas. hill has a much lower than average percentage of black and red slopes and a much higher than average percentage of easy ski slopes. All 7 different ski lifts at this ski resort make for a peaceful ride up the hill. Snowboarding and skiing in this part of Massachusetts
| | is scores of fun every day of the season. The yearly snowfall of 7 feet keeps the coverage nice. The nearest ski area having a higher drop from top to bottom is 24 miles away. The annual snowfall is lower than average at Catamount. The scenic vista of the Massachusetts mountaintops and excellent runs are in themselves reason enough to come here to ski. are a bit far away from the bottom of the hill, and if you make reservations ahead of going, you're all set. Nothing beats the Massachusetts highlands in the winter; they are something you can’t miss if you're addicted to skiing or snowboarding. A little exercise
