Catamount ski area, Massachusetts
|
| | I have the great fortune of living near Catamount so I can go pretty much any time I want. It's a great ski area for being of moderate size. Good variety of runs, no chance of getting bored. says Ron.
All of the 7 different ski lifts are amusing to catch a ride with. Catamount has a much lower than average ratio of challenging slopes and a much higher than average proportion of easy ski trails. There's 105 acres of skiable land, and it's all in great condition. This ski area gets blanketed by lighter than average |

snow every winter season. The 1,000 feet of drop is quite all right; Catamount makes excellent use of it. The delightful attractiveness of the Massachusetts mountaintops and the exceptionally tremendous runs are motive enough to come here to ski. This is a small
| | ski resort with an average drop if compared to other east coast ski mountains. This ski hill gets covered by 7 feet of great snow per winter, and that keeps the depth good. This ski resort has a reasonable collection of ski trails and an ok total of ski lifts. Catamount is a fine location for young and old with scores of blue and green trails. No other ski mountain for 24 miles has a higher altitude difference. Snowboarding and skiing in this region is a lot of fun all winter long. All the 29 runs here are striking. | |

The ski run map of Catamount on this page of course says a thousand words. Great exercise and just hanging out with your skiing friends outdoes anything. The mountaintops of Massachusetts covered in snow are always good for snowboarding and skiing. You could be
into skiing or snowboarding, or both, doesn't matter, this is a vicinity with loads of locations for that. Not too many hotels in the vicinity, you'll have to voyage a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations, you might end up slumbering in your car.
