You have to go 21 miles to get to a ski mountain having a better size altitude difference. Whaleback gets covered by an average amount of snow each season. This ski hill has an okay collection of ski trails and enough lifts |
|
to serve them all. This is a relaxed ski mountain having a roughly average drop compared to other east coast ski mountains. Getting a little bit of fine exercise and an opportunity to spend some time in the wilderness will make you feel fine. With a 700 foot drop
| | from top to bottom it's not the highest hill there is, but Whaleback has so many other good attributes. Having 60 acres of ski terrain, it's more of a relaxed style ski hill. You might be into skiing or snowboarding, or both, doesn't matter, this is a region with a load of places for that. Please refer to the ski map of Whaleback on this net page for info. A lot of skiers from Lebanon like to ski here. There are a number of tremendous accommodations near the bottom area, but do book a room previous to going as it is a very popular destination. | |
