  This ski hill gets snowfall close to the local average each snow season. This is a cozier than average ski resort with a medium altitude difference when you compare it to other ski hills in the region. The skiable area being 80 acres, it's more of a petite style ski resort. With a 633 foot elevation difference it's not the highest hill there is, but all the other good characteristics of McCauley Mountain make up for it. This ski resort has a much lower than average

of slopes and sufficient different ski lifts to serve them all. You have to go 73 miles to get to a ski hill featuring a more sizeable elevation difference. The 22 slopes at this ski area are fine to ski on. The striking yearly snowfall of 17 feet is one of the reasons this is such a good ski resort. Some folks prefer skiing and some snowboarding, either way, this is an area with heaps of ski areas for that. The 5 good ski lifts here are enjoyable to take a ride  
with. The winter in New York is so striking for skiing or snowboarding. McCauley Mountain is a wonderful ski mountain for the whole family with a heap of intermediate or beginner runs. The snow covered summits of the Adirondack Mountains give this ski hill an extremely good panorama. In winter the Adirondack Mountains is a good location for skiing or snowboarding. The nearby accommodations are a bit away from the main area, but you'd better reserve before heading out because these accommodations fill up rapidly. Getting a great workout and a chance to spend some time in nature will make you glad you came. This is a popular ski hill for skiers from Utica-Rome. Snowboarding and skiing in this part of New York is a great thing to do throughout the winter.
