McCauley Mountain ski area, Adirondack Mountains, New York

  McCauley Mountain has the greatest elevation difference among ski mountains in a 73 mile radius. With a 633 foot altitude difference it's not the tallest hill there is, but McCauley Mountain has so many other fine attributes. This ski hill has 22 runs, and they are wonderful to ski on. McCauley Mountain receives snowfall close to the local average every winter. The snow here turns incredibly deep, 17 feet every year, and that is an extraordinarily delightful coverage. With a skiable area of 80 acres, it makes for a friendly
    skiing experience. All 5 different ski lifts at this ski resort are amusing to take a ride with. The skiing and the snowboarding in New York is a magnificent thing to do every day of the winter. The snow blanketed highlands of the Adirondack Mountains give this
ski mountain a fantastically good view. Getting a splendid workout and just being on the ski slopes for a while attract skiers from far and near. McCauley Mountain is a small ski area boasting an average drop from top to bottom compared to other east coast ski mountains. This is a pleasant place for young and old with many green and blue ski slopes. This ski area has a moderate assortment of ski slopes and a decent choice of ski lifts. This ski resort has a much lower than average proportion of black and red trails  
and a much higher than average percentage of green and blue ski slopes. When this part of New York is blanketed in ice cold snow; it is the most wonderful time of the year for snowboarding and skiing. The picturesque snow blanketed Adirondack Mountains highlands are a pure snowboarding and skiing delight. The trailmap on this web page will give you a good idea what McCauley Mountain is like. You'll run into scores of skiers from Utica-Rome here. Some folks prefer skiing and some snowboarding, either way, this is a vicinity with a lot of sites for that. The nearby rooms are a bit far from the base area, but if you don’t have reservations, you may end up snoozing in your automobile.
