Snow Ridge   The snow here at Snow Ridge is really great. I think they have the best snow in the region. says Manny. You have to go 32 miles to get to a ski mountain with a better size altitude difference. Snow Ridge has a comparatively modest assortment of runs and an ok pick of great ski lifts. All 6 different ski lifts at this ski mountain are enjoyable to take a ride with. The striking yearly snowfall of 19 feet is one of the reasons this is such a good ski area.     Snow Ridge gets snowfall close to the local average every ski season. This ski area has 130 acres of skiable land, and it's all in splendid shape. You get loads of skiers going up here from Utica-Rome on snowy weekends. With a 500 foot vertical drop it's not the highest hill there is, but all the other nice features of Snow Ridge make up for it. This is a conventional size ski area with a more inviting than average altitude difference when compared to other east coast ski mountains. All the 22 trails here are totally enjoyable. Snow Ridge has an average share of hard slopes and an average percentage of easy runs. Not too many hotels close by, you'll have to voyage a bit to get to one,       but if you don’t have reservations, you might end up sleeping in your car. The skiing and the snowboarding in New York is lots of fun all season long. Great exercise and a chance to spend some time in nature have snow skiers coming   here. Some people prefer skiing and some snowboarding, either way, this is an area with loads of places for that.
