skiing land, and all of it makes for magnificent skiing. Thunder Ridge is a relaxed ski mountain with a rather cozy altitude difference when compared to other east coast ski mountains. The annual snowfall of 8 feet keeps the ski slopes
| | well blanketed through the ski season. Thunder Ridge has a much lower than average percentage of hard slopes and a much higher than average proportion of blue and green trails. You'll encounter scores of skiers from Poughkeepsie-Newburgh-Middletown here. The wintertime in New York is truly a great time of year for snowboarding or skiing. but all the other great attributes of Thunder Ridge make up for it. Thunder Ridge is a family friendly ski hill with lots of easy slopes. On this hill you'll come upon 30 different slopes; there are plenty slopes for every skill.

There are 4 good ski lifts here, and they are enjoyable to get a ride with. The best piece of info on this resort is naturally the trailmap of Thunder Ridge on this page. The snowboarding and the skiing in New York is a lot of fun all winter long. Some exercise and a chance to spend some time in the fresh air will have you coming back. There aren’t any accommodations nearby, but if you're ready to voyage a small distance then no problem, but do reserve a room ahead of going because it is a very popular destination.
