| | This ski mountain has a much lower than average ratio of expert and advanced trails and a much higher than average part of intermediate or beginner slopes. A 500 foot drop from top to bottom is naturally not that much, but Thunder Ridge has so many other glorious properties. This ski mountain has 100 acres of skiing territory, and all of it makes for perfect skiing. | | up and run by pleasant folks. The close by lodgings are a bit far from the main area, and if you make reservations before heading out, you're all set. The nearest ski mountain having a more soaring height difference is 25 miles away. This ski mountain has an okay mixture of slopes and not many ski lifts. Thunder Ridge gets blanketed by an average amount of snow each winter. No matter if you're skiing or snowboarding, around here, you'll run into lots of great sites. weekends. New York gets incredibly beautiful in the winter; it is the most wonderful time of the year for snowboarding or skiing. Thunder Ridge is a glorious spot for young and old with scores of intermediate or beginner runs for novices.
