The skiing territory being 85 acres, it makes for a peaceful skiing experience. All the 24 runs here are enjoyable to ski on. This is a small ski resort in possession of an elevation difference that's more or less average when compared to other east coast ski hills. The 700 foot altitude difference is of course not that much to talk about, but Toggenburg makes up for it by other means. This ski mountain

    has a much lower than average proportion of tough runs and a much higher than average fraction of easy ski slopes. This ski hill receives snowfall close to the local average every snow season. The astonishing 11 feet of seasonal snowfall is an exceptionally good
depth. No other ski hill for 21 miles has a more towering drop. Toggenburg has an ok array of ski slopes and a reasonable number of great ski lifts. This ski area has 5 good ski lifts, and they are enjoyable to hitch a ride with. Snowboarding and skiing in this part of New York is so much fun all season long. You may have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the base area if you want to stay an extra day, but do reserve a room in advance of a trip in view of the fact that it is a very popular destination. When this

segment of New York is blanketed in beautiful snow; it is the most glorious time of the year for snowboarding or skiing. A lot of skiers from Cortland like to ski here. Toggenburg is a family friendly ski mountain with a lot of easy runs for learners. You might be into skiing or snowboarding, or both, doesn't matter, this is a region with a lot of sites for that.
