This is a cozier than average ski area featuring a vertical drop that's roughly speaking average if compared to other east coast ski hills. This ski mountain obtains so much wonderful snow, 11 feet every season, and that is an incredibly pleasant depth. The nearest ski hill with a more soaring vertical drop is 21 miles away. This ski hill obtains snowfall close to the local average each snow season. With

    a 700 foot drop from top to bottom it's not the highest hill there is, but Toggenburg compensates for it with other things. All the 24 slopes here are wonderful. Getting a little bit of good exercise and just hanging out with your skiing buddies will make you
pleased you came. You get lots of skiers traveling up here from Cortland on snowy weekends. Some folks prefer skiing and some snowboarding, either way, this region has many ski areas. There are 5 lifts here, and they make for a tranquil ride up the slope. Toggenburg has a reasonable collection of runs and enough great ski lifts to serve them all. This is a family friendly ski resort with lots of green and blue ski runs for learners. Toggenburg has a much lower than average proportion of expert and advanced slopes and a much

higher than average percentage of beginner and intermediate runs. Having a skiable area of 85 acres, it's more of a small-size style ski area. Snowboarding and skiing in this region is a great thing to do all ski season long. The wintertime in New York is the most glorious time of the year for skiing and snowboarding. There aren’t any rooms nearby, but if you're prepared to drive a short length then no problem, but do book a room ahead of going since it is a very popular destination.
