Toggenburg   Toggenburg has great snowmaking so you can keep skiing long after the regular snow has melted. says Sasha. The 5 great ski lifts here are perfectly kept up and run by welcoming folks. No other ski hill for 21 miles has a more towering altitude difference. With 85 acres of terrain, it's more of a small-size style ski hill. Toggenburg has a good collection of trails and an acceptable amount of lifts. Toggenburg receives snowfall close to the local average     each winter season. All the 24 slopes here are tremendous. Toggenburg is a relaxed ski area boasting a drop that's in the order of average compared to other east coast ski hills. This ski resort has a much lower than average ratio of difficult ski runs and a much higher than average ratio of easy trails. The 700 foot vertical drop is naturally not that much to talk about, but Toggenburg compensates for it by other means. You get scores of skiers driving up here from Cortland on snow-white weekends. Getting some glorious exercise and just being on the ski runs for a while will make you feel glorious. The inspiring yearly snowfall of 11 feet is a very pleasant coverage. The winter months       in New York is the most marvelous time of the year for snowboarding or skiing. The snowboarding and the skiing in this part of the country is scores of fun during the snow season. This is a family friendly ski area with lots of easy ski slopes.
