Ascutney is a mid-size ski hill boasting a medium vertical drop when compared to other east coast ski areas. The yearly snowfall is approximately average at Ascutney. The annual snowfall of 8 feet keeps the runs well covered all through the ski season. There are 57 runs to choose from; there's a great variety to suit everyone. and a much higher than average percentage of green and blue runs. Ascutney has an okay variety of runs and an okay total of good ski lifts. The grand mountain vista of Vermont and the truly great ski trails have scores of skiers coming here. Snowboarding and skiing
| | in this region is loads of fun through the snow season. All of the 6 lifts will get you up the mountain effectively. There's 150 acres of skiable area, and it's all in great condition. You may be into skiing or snowboarding, or both, doesn't matter, this is a vicinity with loads of places for that. The 1,800 feet of elevation difference is not too shaggy; it's sufficient to get some decent time on the ski slopes between lifts.
