The 475 foot height difference is unsurprisingly not that much to boast about, but Chestnut Mountain compensates for it in other ways. | | ok for a ski resort like this one. Chestnut Mountain has a much lower than average proportion of hard slopes and a much higher than average fraction of blue and green trails. Illinois gets exceptionally gorgeous in the wintertime; it is truly a delightful time of year for snowboarding or skiing. This is a typical size ski area featuring an average altitude difference compared to other mid west ski resorts. all set. No matter if you're skiing or snowboarding, around here, you'll find scores of good sites. The annual snowfall is lighter than average at Chestnut Mountain. The snowboarding and the skiing in Illinois is a great thing to do all snow season long. Wonderful
exercise and getting out of the house for a while surpasses anything. The ski run map of Chestnut Mountain on this page naturally says a thousand words. This is a perfect ski resort for everybody with loads of beginner and intermediate ski runs.
