Villa Olivia ski area, Illinois
|
| | Villa Olivia is a great place to bring your family specially of you have small kids. It's like a big snow playground. The slope is not very impressive but it's ok for a quick little mini ski trip. says George Moore.
This ski hill has a much lower than average proportion of advanced and expert runs and a much higher than average share of easy ski slopes. All of the 6 different ski lifts are exciting to get a ride with. Having 15 acres of skiable territory, it's more of a cozy style ski area. Villa Olivia is |
|
a small ski mountain featuring a medium elevation difference compared to other mid west ski mountains. This ski area has a somewhat modest variety of ski slopes and sufficient ski lifts to serve them all. The 2 feet of fluffy snow that fall here annually is of
| | course not top-notch, but not that shaggy either. You have to go 25 miles to get to a ski mountain boasting a fuller-scale height difference. With a 180 foot drop from top to bottom it's not the tallest hill there is, but all the other fine characteristics of Villa Olivia make up for it. This is a popular ski mountain for skiers from Chicago-Naperville-Joliet. Villa Olivia gets blanketed by lighter than average snow each ski season. This is a glorious place for young and old with many easy runs. All the 9 ski runs | |

here are magnificent to ski on. The best piece of info on this resort is of course the ski map of Villa Olivia on this page. Whether you're skiing or snowboarding, there are loads of magnificent places for that nearby. There are scores of accommodations here if
you want to stay for a few days, but do reserve a room prior to departure because it is a very popular destination. Perfect exercise and a chance to spend some time in the wilderness are magnificent reasons to come. This ski resort is a petite ski resort managed by caring people.
