Sundown Mountain has the most sizeable elevation difference among ski areas in a 67 mile radius. The annual snowfall of 4 feet is not exceptionally high, but it's all right. Sundown Mountain has a much lower than average ratio of expert and advanced ski trails and a much higher than average part of easy trails. All the 20 trails here are enjoyable to ski on. Sundown Mountain has a fairly humble set of trails and an ok total of ski lifts. There are a number of fine rooms near the base area, but if you don’t have reservations,

    you will possibly end up slumbering in your automobile. This is a mid-size ski area having an average height difference when you compare it to other ski areas in the region. Getting a magnificent workout and just being on the ski trails for a while have snow skiers
coming here. This ski resort has 7 ski lifts, and they will get you up the hill efficiently. The terrain being 55 acres, it's cozy enough to get to know all your fellow snow people. The 475 foot drop from top to bottom is of course not that much to boast about, but Sundown Mountain has so many other great features. The seasonal snowfall is less than average at Sundown Mountain. Sundown Mountain is a pleasant place for everybody with a load of beginner and intermediate runs. The wintertime in Iowa is truly a delightful

time of year for snowboarding or skiing. The trailmap on this internet page will give you a good idea what Sundown Mountain is like. Some people prefer skiing and some snowboarding, either way, this is a neighborhood with heaps of ski resorts for that. Skiing and snowboarding in this part of the country is lots of fun the whole snow season. Lots of skiers from Dubuque like to ski here.
