The 475 foot height difference is unsurprisingly not that much to boast about, but all the other good characteristics of Sundown Mountain compensate for it. Sundown Mountain has a much lower than average part of red and black ski runs and a much higher than average percentage of easy runs. The 7 ski lifts here make for a relaxing ride up the hill. |

Sundown Mountain has a fairly small array of runs and an acceptable amount of different ski lifts. Every winter this ski resort gets 4 feet of snow, and that doesn’t sound like loads, but it's relatively all right. The nearest ski
| | resort featuring a more sky-scraping elevation difference is 67 miles away. Having a skiable terrain of 55 acres, it's incredibly friendly and small-size. Sundown Mountain gets blanketed by less snowfall than the local average every snow season. This is a standard size ski hill boasting a roughly average drop when compared to other mid west ski resorts. You'll come across many skiers from Dubuque here. The wintertime in Iowa is so pretty for snowboarding or skiing. | |
