Big Powderhorn Mountain ski area, Gogebic Range, Michigan

| | This ski resort has an acceptable set of trails and an okay number of great ski lifts. With a 600 foot vertical drop it's not the tallest hill there is, but Big Powderhorn Mountain compensates for it in other ways. This ski area has a much lower than average fraction of expert and advanced trails and a much higher than average share of blue and green trails. compared to other mid west ski areas. All the 26 runs here are nice to ski on. The wintertime months in Michigan is so charming for snowboarding or skiing. The white snow here becomes truly deep, 18 feet every season, and that is one of the greatest highlights
| | of this ski resort. A little bit of exercise and getting out of the house for a while will make you feel good. All 10 different ski lifts at this ski hill make for a comforting ride up the slope.
