Boyne Mountain ski area, Michigan

| | With a 500 foot drop from top to bottom it's not the tallest hill there is, but Boyne Mountain has so many other great characteristics. The tremendous annual snowfall of 12 feet is an extremely nice depth. Boyne Mountain has a reasonable array of runs and a lot of great ski lifts. There are 14 ski lifts here, and they are nicely looked after and run by pleasant folks. This ski mountain has 60 runs that you can ski on; there's a nice diversity to suit everyone. Boyne Mountain has a much lower than average percentage of advanced and expert runs and a much higher than average fraction of beginner and intermediate runs.
