All 5 different ski lifts at this ski area are fun to get a ride with. The extraordinary 13 feet of seasonal snowfall is one of the reasons this is such a glorious ski area. This ski area has a comparatively small range of slopes and enough good ski lifts to serve them all. Homestead has a much lower than average proportion of tough ski runs and a much higher than average percentage of intermediate or beginner slopes. The 320 foot elevation difference is naturally not that much to boast about, but Homestead compensates

    for it with other things. Snowboarding and skiing in this part of Michigan is so much fun the whole ski season. A heap of skiers go up here from Traverse City, in particular on the weekends. Homestead is a more petite than average ski area with a vertical drop
that's roughly average when you compare it to other ski mountains in the region. This ski area has 15 trails, and they are wonderful. This ski mountain boasts an average amount of snow every ski season. When this segment of Michigan is blanketed in white snow; it is so pretty for snowboarding or skiing. The terrain being 16 acres, it makes for an intimate skiing experience. This is a perfect place for everyone with a load of intermediate or beginner trails. Some folks prefer skiing and some snowboarding, either way,

this neighborhood has lots of ski hills.

Special features: New Terrain Park this year is located on Spring Beauty featuring rails, mailbox and two table top jumps. NASTAR racing.
