Afton Alps has so many runs, you'll never get bored. Great skiing for the whole family, mainly easy runs but there are a few hard ones too. I recommend this ski area to anyone who likes to ski. says Nancy.

With a sum of 41 ski slopes to ski on; there's a great

    diversity to suit everyone. This ski hill has a much lower than average percentage of tough runs and a much higher than average fraction of intermediate or beginner runs. Afton Alps has an okay assortment of runs and scores of good great ski lifts. All 18 ski
lifts at this ski area will get you up the hill efficiently. With a 350 foot drop it's not the tallest hill there is, but Afton Alps makes up for it in other ways. Afton Alps receives lower snowfall than the local average every season. There's 250 acres of skiable area, and it's all in tremendous condition. The yearly snowfall of 4 feet is relatively acceptable for a ski area like this one. Afton Alps has the largest drop for 100 miles. months in Minnesota is so gorgeous for skiing or snowboarding. Afton Alps is a full-scale ski area boasting a drop from top to bottom that's about average if compared to other mid west ski areas. This is a great place for everyone with lots of beginner and intermediate ski slopes. A great workout and just being on the ski trails for a while attract snow folks from far and near. Afton Alps has a great assortment of ski slopes; it's totally impossible to get bored here. There are magnificent comfortable accommodations here, but if you don’t have reservations, you will possibly end up snoozing in your vehicle. You get scores of skiers driving up here from Red Wing on snowy weekends.
