| | Buck Hill has the most sizeable drop from top to bottom for 35 miles. This ski resort has a rather humble variety of runs and enough ski lifts to serve them all. The seasonal snowfall of 5 feet is not fantastically high, but it's reasonable. This is a small-size ski resort in possession of an average height difference if compared to other mid west ski areas. With a skiable area of 45 acres, it's extremely lovely and small-size. The 13 trails at this ski resort are exciting to ski on. The 11 lifts here are in great shape. |

| | ski season. You may be into skiing or snowboarding, or both, doesn't matter, this is a region with lots of places for that. With a 309 foot altitude difference it's not the highest hill there is, but Buck Hill has so many other perfect qualities. A heap of skiers voyage up here from Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington, specifically on the weekends. A little exercise and getting out of the house for a while attract ski folks from near and far. The winter in Minnesota is the most splendid time of the year for skiing or snowboarding. No scarcity of perfect hotels, but do book a room before you go as it is a very popular destination. | |
