Hyland ski area, Minnesota

| | Hyland has a small mixture of ski trails and enough good ski lifts to serve them all. With a 175 foot drop from top to bottom it's not the highest hill there is, but Hyland has so many other nice properties. This ski hill has 6 good ski lifts, and they are cool to take a ride with. The yearly snowfall of 5 feet is naturally not world-class, but not too shaggy either. This is a more petite than average ski hill with a quite relaxed drop compared to other mid west ski areas. at this ski resort. The 14 runs at this ski area are brilliant to ski on. There are many accommodations here if you want to stay an extra day, and if you make reservations prior to departure, you're all set. The skiable terrain being 35 acres, it makes for a peaceful
| | skiing experience. This ski resort has a much lower than average ratio of advanced and expert trails and a much higher than average share of intermediate or beginner ski trails. This is a delightful location for the whole family with a lot of green and blue ski runs for beginners. Many skiers from Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington like to ski here.
