Lutsen is not just a good ski area, it's the only real skia area around really. It's almost twice as high ar any other area within a reasonable distance. It has a great variety of runs for all levels. says Tom.

The 1,088 feet of altitude difference is not too bad; Lutsen makes excellent use of it all. Lutsen has the most sizeable drop among ski hills in a 814 mile radius. Lutsen has a lot of runs and a reasonable total of great ski lifts. The annual snowfall is roughly average at Lutsen. Having the terrain

    being 1,000 acres being short of skiing land won’t happen. This is a sizeable ski area with a tremendous elevation difference compared to other mid west ski hills. This ski resort has an average ratio of difficult trails and an average share of easy runs. The
ski map of Lutsen on this page unsurprisingly says a thousand words. The mind-blowing annual snowfall of 10 feet is one of the reasons this is such a good ski hill. Lutsen is a fine ski hill with scores of different ski slopes; it's just not possible to get bored here. With a grand total of 88 trails to ski on; there's a pleasant array to please everyone.
