Clear Fork
|
| | The absolute best says Snowbird.
When I used to go here with my parents we used to have such a good time. says Joey.
The skiable area being 60 acres, it makes for a peaceful skiing experience. Every winter this ski hill gets 4 feet of beautiful snow, and that doesn’t sound like a heap, but it's reasonably acceptable. Clear Fork receives lower snowfall than the local average each winter. This ski hill has 10 ski slopes, and they are totally fun. |
|
With a 300 foot altitude difference it's not the highest hill there is, but Clear Fork makes up for it with other things. This ski mountain has a much lower than average share of hard trails and a much higher than average share of
| | intermediate or beginner runs. Clear Fork has a somewhat modest array of runs and enough ski lifts to serve them all. All of the 6 different ski lifts will get you up the slope effectively. A load of skiers drive up here from Mount Vernon, in particular on the weekends. This is an average size ski hill with an average drop from top to bottom when compared to other mid west ski mountains. No other ski mountain for 96 miles has a more towering altitude difference. | |
