Mad River Mountain   This ski mountain has 144 acres of terrain, and all of it makes for magnificent skiing. A 300 foot vertical drop is of course not that much, but Mad River Mountain has so many other nice properties. This ski mountain has lower than average snow every ski season. The 3 feet of good snow that falls here per year is not incredibly high, but it's reasonable. This is a mid-size ski hill having a medium elevation difference when you compare it to other ski mountains     in the region. This ski mountain has an average fraction of demanding trails and an average percentage of intermediate or beginner slopes. Mad River Mountain has an acceptable collection of slopes and a decent quantity of ski lifts. There are 12 good ski lifts here, and they are enjoyable to hitch a ride with. Getting your skiing muscles set in motion and getting out of the house for a while attract snow folks from far and near. You have to go 73 miles to get to a ski mountain featuring a larger drop from top to bottom. You may be into skiing or snowboarding, or both, doesn't matter, this area has a pretty small number of ski areas.
