Granite Peak ski area, Wisconsin
|
| | This is a 4-5 hour drive from the n/w side of Chicago . . . and *definately* worth it. Some buddies and I go up for a few days every winter and I have to say, this is the best you're going to find without doubling your driving time or hopping on an airplane. says Andy.
i have lived and snowboarded in Colorado and Austria. For the Midwest only Lutsen in Minn. can be compared! The vertical keeps you challenged unlike the resorts in the U.P. and the rest of the Midwest! Only 3 hrs from Milwaukee!!! love |
it if you are in the Midwest and can't head WEST!!! says surfsno2001.
Granite Peak is I think the best ski area in the region. There are lots of runs for everybody. I like the black diamonds but my wife and kids like the blues and greens so this is perfect
| for us since it has plenty of all three. says Max.
The 6 ski lifts here are in delightful shape. This ski resort has 265 acres of skiable area, and all of it makes for brilliant skiing. There are 72 trails to choose from; there's a fine set to gratify everyone. Granite Peak has a tremendous mixture of ski slopes and a reasonable selection of good ski lifts. The 5 feet of beautiful snow that falls here per winter is naturally not first-class, but not that bad either. This is a full-size ski mountain with a higher | |

than average elevation difference when compared to other mid west ski mountains. Granite Peak has the biggest height difference for 646 miles. The ski trail map of Granite Peak on this net page naturally says a thousand words. This is a pleasant ski mountain with
scores of different slopes; it's completely out of the question to get bored here. This ski area has lighter snowfall than the local average every snow season. A 700 foot vertical drop is unsurprisingly not that much, but Granite Peak makes up for it by other
means. Granite Peak has an average part of difficult runs and an average ratio of easy ski slopes. When this section of Wisconsin is blanketed in good snow; it is the most grandiose time of the year for skiing and snowboarding. Getting a little perfect exercise
and getting out of the house for a while will make you glad you came. No scarcity of good rooms, but you'd better book in advance of a trip in view of the fact that these rooms fill up swiftly. No matter if you're skiing or snowboarding, nearby, you'll run into many perfect places. Skiing and snowboarding in this part of the country is lots of fun all season long.
