Elk Mountain ski area, Pennsylvania

Elk is uncrowded and really fun. They seem to make the best out off the conditions weather gives them. Good, long trails(for Pa). I liked the mini park. The ''bigger'' park made the best of the space. I surface lift in the park lets you session as long as you want, and stay in the park. Great for dialing in on my skillz. Couple of the rail and box features are really cool. I will go to Elk a couple times a year. says 1sweetstick.

No other ski hill for 21 miles has a higher altitude difference. This ski area
has 180 acres of terrain, and all of it makes for good skiing. All of the 6 ski lifts are ably taken care of and run by friendly folks. The 1,000 feet of drop from top to bottom is not too bad; it's enough to get some decent time on the runs between lifts. Elk
Mountain is a big ski mountain boasting a medium height difference compared to other mid Atlantic ski hills. The trailmap on this net page will give you a good idea what Elk Mountain is like. This ski area gets covered by less snowfall than the local average every winter. The annual snowfall of 5 feet is not incredibly high, but it's okay. Elk Mountain has an acceptable variety of slopes and a reasonable sum of good ski lifts. No matter if you're skiing or snowboarding, there are a lot of wonderful spots for that in the
neighborhood. A wonderful workout and just being on the runs for a while surpasses anything. All the 27 ski runs here are fun to ski on. This ski area has an average percentage of expert and advanced ski trails and an average percentage of blue and green slopes. Not too many accommodations in the vicinity, you'll have to voyage a bit to get to one, but you'd better reserve prior to departure given that these accommodations fill up rapidly. The Pennsylvania highlands in wintertime are always good for snowboarding or skiing. The stunning attractiveness of the Pennsylvania summits and all the splendid runs have snow folks coming from far and near.
