| | This ski mountain has an acceptable variety of ski trails and a reasonable number of lifts. There's 180 acres of skiing area, and it's all in good shape. This ski mountain has a vertical drop of 1,000 feet; Elk Mountain makes great use of it. Elk Mountain is a sizeable ski resort having a height difference that's in the order of average compared to other mid Atlantic ski areas. | | totally exciting. Elk Mountain obtains lighter than average snow every winter season. The 5 feet of wonderful snow that fall here per winter is naturally not first-rate, but not that shaggy either. Some folks prefer skiing and some snowboarding, either way, this is an area with a lot of places for that. Elk Mountain has the most sizeable height difference for 280 miles. The natural splendor of the Pennsylvania mountaintops and fabulous slopes have loads of skiers coming here. You may have to settle for a hotel a bit away | |

from the bottom of the hill if you want to spend the night, but do reserve a room in advance of a trip given that it is a very popular destination. Getting a little delightful exercise and an opportunity to spend some time in the fresh air are delightful incentives to come.
