Tussey Mountain ski area, Pennsylvania
|
| | Okay, I'm on Tussey's Junior Race Team and we spend every waking moment at Tussey, and love it. It takes exactly 7 minutes and 43 seconds to get up the lift and 4 minutes and 22 seconds to get up the t-bar (which they fixed with duct tape) Never get chair 32, the bars don't go down, and chairs 75 and 1 are lucky. If you ask nicely in the lodge, they'll warm up your cinnamon bun for you and always try the vending machine without money first, it sometimes works. Also, never use the front door to the lodge, you are guarenteed |
to fall oh, and the mountain can be skied in full tuck in 15.4 seconds. says Jordan.
Tussey Mountain is an ordinary size ski hill boasting an average drop from top to bottom when you compare it to other ski hills in the region. This ski mountain has an
| | average percentage of expert and advanced slopes and an average percentage of intermediate or beginner trails. Tussey Mountain has a humble collection of trails and enough different ski lifts to serve them all. The 4 feet of snow that fall here per year is unsurprisingly not first-class, but not that bad either. The seasonal snowfall is lower than average at this ski mountain. Tussey Mountain has the most sizeable height difference among ski hills in a 51 mile radius. This ski resort has 120 acres of ski terrain, and it's all | |

covered by beautiful snow. The 8 trails at this ski mountain are fun to ski on. All of the 5 lifts are in fine shape. This is a popular ski hill for skiers from State College. Whether you're skiing or snowboarding, this is an area with a load of ski resorts for
that. The 500 foot drop from top to bottom is of course not that much to talk about, but Tussey Mountain has so many other splendid features. The wintertime in Pennsylvania is the most magnificent time of the year for snowboarding or skiing. Magnificent exercise
and getting out of the house for a while is better than anything. No need to look hard for rooms, and if you make reservations in advance of a trip, you're all set. This ski mountain is a cozy ski mountain run by welcoming people.
Special features: terrain parks, snowtube park
