Ober Gatlinburg doesn't have a lot of different runs to choose from but it's pretty ok based on the area. says Bob Turner.
Ober Gatlinburg obtains lower than average snow each winter season. This is a cozy ski hill with a medium height difference compared to other mid Atlantic ski resorts. With a 600 foot altitude difference it's not the tallest hill there is, but all the other great characteristics of Ober Gatlinburg compensate for it. This ski hill |

has a much lower than average ratio of black and red ski slopes and a much higher than average ratio of green and blue runs. Having a skiing area of 38 acres, it makes for a cozy skiing experience. Skiing and snowboarding here in Tennessee is a lot of fun all
| | season long. This ski area has a somewhat small variety of runs and not too many ski lifts. The yearly snowfall of 3 feet doesn’t sound like loads, but it's relatively all right. All the 8 slopes here are totally amusing. There are 3 different ski lifts here, and they are perfectly taken care of and operated by caring folks. The wintertime months in Tennessee is so delightful for snowboarding or skiing. The snow blanketed summits of the Great Smoky Mountains give this ski resort an extraordinarily pleasant panorama. | |

Ober Gatlinburg has the most sizeable height difference for 33 miles. Loads of skiers from Sevierville like to ski here. In wintertime the Great Smoky Mountains is a pleasant snowboarding or skiing destination. Getting a good workout and an opportunity to spend
some time in the outdoors attract snow skiers from all over. If you'll be sleeping in a hotel, you're in luck, hotels are on hand close to the base area, but do reserve a room prior to departure given that it is a very popular destination. Ober Gatlinburg is a
perfect ski resort for everyone with lots of intermediate or beginner ski trails. No matter if you're skiing or snowboarding, in this general region, you'll come across loads of ski hills. This ski resort is a cozy site with a friendly personnel.
