Here in Virginia Massanutten is my top choice for skiing any day. Nice little beginner area on one side and a pretty big advanced area on the other side. It's a very well run resort. says Ronald Brown.

The nearest ski area featuring a higher drop is 85 miles away. The annual snowfall is less than average at Massanutten. This ski resort has 8 ski lifts, and they are in great condition. Massanutten is a standard size ski area with a rather high elevation difference compared to other mid Atlantic ski areas. This

    ski area has 14 ski slopes, and they are great to ski on. This ski mountain has a much lower than average percentage of demanding runs and a much higher than average ratio of beginner and intermediate trails. Having 70 acres of terrain, it's exceptionally friendly
and relaxed. Massanutten has a fairly modest range of trails and enough lifts to serve them all. Please refer to the ski trail map of Massanutten on this internet page for info. Massanutten is a family friendly ski hill with lots of green and blue runs. This ski area gets covered by 4 feet of beautiful snow per year, and that is quite okay for a ski area such as this one. The 1,110 feet of altitude difference is not too bad; Massanutten makes good use of it all. Whether you're skiing or snowboarding, there are scores

of pleasant spots for that close at hand. The mountaintops of the Blue Ridge Mountains is a surroundings worth seeing. The natural loveliness of the Virginia mountaintops and marvelous ski runs are guaranteed to keep you coming back for more. If you'll be staying in a hotel, you're in luck, hotels are at your disposal close to the base zone, but do reserve a room before you go since it is a very popular destination. In winter the Virginia mountaintops are always magnificent for skiing and snowboarding. Skiing and snowboarding here in Virginia is so much fun during the winter. Good exercise and a chance to spend some time in the outdoors will make you happy you came. The mountaintops of the Blue Ridge Mountains in winter are a one hundred percent skiing and snowboarding delight.
