Massanutten ski area, Blue Ridge Mountains, Virginia
|
| | Here in Virginia Massanutten is my top choice for skiing any day. Nice little beginner area on one side and a pretty big advanced area on the other side. It's a very well run resort. says Ronald Brown.
This is an ordinary size ski mountain having a soaring height difference when compared to other mid Atlantic ski areas. This ski resort has a vertical drop of 1,100 feet; it's sufficient to get some decent time on the ski runs between lifts. No other ski area for 85 miles has a more towering drop from top to bottom. |
|
The skiing territory being 70 acres, it's small-size enough to get to know all your fellow snow people. The yearly snowfall is lower than average at this ski hill. The natural attractiveness of the Virginia highlands and the tremendous sensation of coasting down
| | the slopes have ski people coming from far and near. This ski hill has an average proportion of tough ski slopes and an average percentage of beginner and intermediate ski trails. The 5 lifts here will get you up the mountain effectively. This ski resort has a fairly modest collection of ski trails and sufficient good ski lifts to serve them all. Snowboarding and skiing in this region is a glorious thing to do every day of the season. The annual snowfall of 4 feet is naturally not outstanding, but not that bad either. | |

Accommodations are on hand in the vicinity of the main area, and if you make reservations before heading out, you're all set. This ski resort has 14 trails, and they are exciting to ski on. The ski trail map on this net page will give you a good idea what Massanutten
is like. Whether you're skiing or snowboarding, in this general region, you'll bump into lots of ski resorts. A magnificent workout and getting out of the house for a while are magnificent reasons to come. The snow covered mountaintops of the Blue Ridge Mountains
give this ski area an extremely magnificent vista. The snowy mountaintops of Virginia are a magnificent place for skiing or snowboarding. The lovely snow covered Blue Ridge Mountains mountaintops are a complete skiing or snowboarding heaven.
