Here in Virginia Massanutten is my top choice for skiing any day. Nice little beginner area on one side and a pretty big advanced area on the other side. It's a very well run resort. says Ronald Brown.

All 8 ski lifts at this ski area will get you up the hill efficiently. This is a regular size ski hill boasting a relatively towering elevation difference when you compare it to other ski resorts in the region. The nearest ski resort boasting a more soaring elevation difference is 85 miles away. The 4 feet of

    good snow that falls here per season is quite reasonable for a ski mountain like this one. Massanutten has a much lower than average ratio of advanced and expert trails and a much higher than average part of intermediate or beginner ski runs. Skiing and snowboarding
in this part of the country is so much fun every day of the ski season. The 1,110 feet of drop from top to bottom is not too bad; it's enough to get some decent time on the trails between lifts. The snow-white highlands of Virginia are always tremendous for snowboarding and skiing. All the 14 slopes here are lovely. Massanutten has a rather small mixture of ski runs and a decent choice of lifts. This ski area has lower than average snow every winter season. No deficiency of pleasant rooms, but you'd better reserve prior to departure

since these rooms fill up quick. The terrain being 70 acres, it's more of a small-size style ski area. The marvelous mountain surroundings of Virginia and all the pleasant slopes are in themselves motive enough to come here to ski. This is a family friendly ski mountain with lots of beginner and intermediate trails for beginners. A magnificent workout and just being on the trails for a while are magnificent causes to come. The Blue Ridge Mountains blanketed in wonderful snow is an extraordinarily tremendous place if you take pleasure in snowboarding and skiing.
