    per winter is of course not world-class, but not too bad either. The Homestead is a small ski mountain in possession of a medium drop when you compare it to other ski resorts in the region. The winter in Virginia is truly a nice time of year for skiing or snowboarding.
Whether you're skiing or snowboarding, there are lots of magnificent locations for that close at hand. This ski mountain is a cozy ski mountain, and people who work there are very friendly. Not too many hotels in the neighborhood, you'll have to go a bit to get to one, but if you don’t have reservations, you may well end up slumbering in your automobile. The 700 foot elevation difference is naturally not that much to boast about, but The Homestead has so many other great properties. The skiing area being 45 acres, it
