We go there all the time in the winter, it's a good place to ski for all abilities I think, both beginners and experts. says Liz Walker. Having 90 acres of skiable terrain, it's cozy enough to get to know all your fellow ski people. The 20 slopes at this ski mountain are wonderful. Wintergreen     is a normal size ski hill with an average vertical drop if compared to other mid Atlantic ski mountains. Wintergreen has the greatest vertical drop among ski mountains in a 77 mile radius. This ski hill has 3 feet of snow every winter, and that doesn’t sound like loads, but it's pretty all right. There are 5 different ski lifts here, and they are in wonderful condition. The 1,003 feet of drop from top to bottom is pretty reasonable; Wintergreen makes the most of it. Wintergreen has an average share of expert and advanced ski runs and an average percentage of blue and green ski trails. Wintergreen obtains less snowfall than the local average each winter. Wintergreen has a comparatively humble       mixture of ski trails and an okay total of good ski lifts. A nice workout and just hanging out with your skiing mates will make you feel nice. The grandiose mountain landscape of Virginia and the exceptionally splendid ski trails   are sure to keep you returning. The snowboarding and the skiing in Virginia is scores of fun through the season. The mountains of Virginia covered in snow are something you can’t miss if you're hooked on skiing and snowboarding. Hotels are offered near the base area, but you'd better reserve in advance of a trip given that these hotel rooms fill up quick.
