Snowshoe ski area, West Virginia
|
| | Snowshoe has the biggest elevation drop of any skiresort in the region which in my oppinion makes it a realtively great ski resort. You can get more skiing done before you have to get on the lift again. Which I think is very important in a ski resort. says Tom.
No other ski area for 448 miles has a more sky-scraping drop from top to bottom. This ski resort has a much lower than average ratio of red and black slopes and a much higher than average percentage of blue and green trails. Snowshoe has an okay assortment of |

This is a more sizeable than average ski resort with a wonderful drop from top to bottom when you compare it to other ski areas in the region. The great snow here gets especially deep, 15 feet annually, and that is one of the reasons this is such a brilliant ski hill. The 1,500 feet of altitude difference is not that bad; Snowshoe makes the most of it all. The seasonal snowfall is in the region of average | |
