Mt Waterman ski area, San Gabriel Mountains, California
|
| | Mt Waterman has been a favorite of mine for 30 years. Laid back personality and a wonderfully steep face. Plan on riding the lift down if you're ''no bueno.'' says Rick.
Mt Waterman is a more inviting than average ski resort having a vertical drop that's in the region of average compared to other west coast ski resorts. The 3 great ski lifts here are enjoyable to take a ride with. This ski resort has 10 slopes, and they are gorgeous. There's 235 acres of skiing area, and all of it makes for great skiing. This |
|
ski resort has a small range of slopes and quite few lifts. Mt Waterman has an average part of red and black runs and an average fraction of intermediate or beginner slopes. The winter view of the California peaks and the incredibly nice runs make the trip here
| | worthwhile. The 1,300 feet of drop from top to bottom is pretty acceptable; Mt Waterman makes great use of it all. The astonishing yearly snowfall of 11 feet is one of the most excellent features of this ski mountain. Some folks prefer skiing and some snowboarding, either way, around here, you'll discover lots of delightful ski areas. This ski resort has snowfall close to the local average each ski season. Good exercise and spending some quality time in the fresh air attract ski people from far and near. The San Gabriel | |

Mountains in winter is a real snowboarding or skiing heaven. The California highlands in the winter are a pleasant spot for snowboarding or skiing. The nearby accommodations are a bit far from the bottom area, but you'd better reserve before you go given that
these accommodations fill up rapidly. The highlands of the San Gabriel Mountains is a vista worth seeing. Snowboarding and skiing in this region is a fine thing to do the whole winter.
