Ski Sunrise ski area, San Gabriel Mountains, California
|
| | Back in the old days when I lived in the area I used to ski here sometimes. It has a cozier feel than the bigger resorts nearby. says Chris.
Ski Sunrise has the greatest height difference among ski areas in a 46 mile radius. The 816 foot altitude difference is of course not that much to brag about, but Ski Sunrise compensates for it with other things. This ski mountain has an ok range of slopes and few lifts. The mind-boggling 12 feet of annual snowfall is one of the reasons this is such a great ski hill. Ski Sunrise |

you'd better book prior to departure because these rooms fill up fast. The pretty beauty of the California mountains and the rush of speeding down a slope are in themselves reason enough to come here to ski. There are 4 great ski lifts here, and they are in good
shape. Good exercise and just hanging out with your skiing pals are great reasons to come. The San Gabriel Mountains and its summits make for a glorious panorama. The gorgeous snow covered San Gabriel Mountains summits are a glorious skiing or snowboarding destination.
The ski trail map of Ski Sunrise on this page naturally says a thousand words. Some people prefer skiing and some snowboarding, either way, this is a neighborhood with a load of places for that. You get loads of skiers going up here from Los Angeles-Long Beach-Santa
Ana on snow covered weekends. Ski Sunrise is a family friendly ski mountain with a heap of intermediate or beginner trails.
