Howelsen Hill ski area, Park Range, Colorado
|
| | Howelsen Hill is a smaller than average ski hill with a small elevation difference compared to other US Rockies ski resorts. With a 440 foot drop from top to bottom it's not the tallest hill there is, but Howelsen Hill compensates for it in other ways. Howelsen Hill has a much higher than average ratio of advanced and expert runs and a much lower than average ratio of beginner and intermediate runs. All 3 great ski lifts at this ski hill are in tremendous condition. This ski area has a fairly humble assortment of trails |
|
and a fairly small quantity of ski lifts. All the 15 slopes here are tremendous to ski on. The great snow here turns really deep, 21 feet per season, and that is a very magnificent depth. The annual snowfall is more or less average at this ski resort. No need
| | to search hard for accommodations, but do book a room prior to departure because it is a very popular destination. The skiing territory being 70 acres, it's more of a small-size style ski hill. Scores of skiers from Edwards like to ski here. These runs are quite crazy sometimes; so do check your bindings. This is an amusing ski area where heaps of the ski slopes push the limits of even the greatest skiers. A little exercise and a chance to spend some time in the great outdoors will make you feel pleasant. No matter if | |

you're skiing or snowboarding, this is an area with a lot of ski hills for that. The Park Range in wintertime is a tremendous spot for skiing or snowboarding. The wintertime in Colorado is the most splendid time of the year for skiing or snowboarding. The peaks
of the Park Range give this ski mountain a fantastically tremendous panorama. Skiing and snowboarding here in Colorado is a pleasant thing to do all through the season.
