Irwin Lodge ski area, Colorado
|
| | I haven't been to this place in many years but it's a great place to ski, not too crowded. says Kate.
This is a bigger than average ski hill featuring a roughly average drop compared to other US Rockies ski areas. This ski mountain has a much higher than average share of demanding trails and a much lower than average share of intermediate or beginner trails. The fantastic seasonal snowfall of 50 feet is sufficient for genuinely tremendous depth. With such a big skiing territory, 2,200 acres in all you won't be |
|
deficient in skiing territory. Irwin Lodge is a cool ski mountain with a load of hard slopes. Irwin Lodge has a drop from top to bottom of 2,100 feet which is plenty for a magnificent top to bottom run. The 15 runs at this ski area are exciting to ski on. There
| | are 3 good ski lifts here, and they are in glorious shape. Irwin Lodge has a rather humble variety of runs and a rather modest number of ski lifts. Irwin Lodge receives heavier than average snow each season. Places to stay are offered close to the bottom area, and if you make reservations before heading out, you're all set. Nothing outdoes the Colorado highlands in wintertime; they are a delightful place for snowboarding and skiing. You could be into skiing or snowboarding, or both, doesn't matter, around here, you'll | |

come across a lot of good locations. There are some real bone splitting runs at Irwin Lodge, man; but you have got to do what you have got to do, true? Pleasant exercise and an opportunity to spend some time in the fresh air will have you coming back for more. The wintertime view of the Colorado hills and all the good trails have ski people coming from all over.
