No other ski resort for 98 miles has a more sky-scraping drop. A 240 foot altitude difference is naturally not that much, but all the other tremendous attributes of Fun Valley compensate for it. and the snowboarding in this region is lots of fun all season long. The 3 feet of snow that falls here every winter is not incredibly high, but it's reasonable. This ski resort has a much lower than average percentage of expert and advanced runs and a much higher
than average part of green and blue slopes. Fun Valley is a cozy ski hill with an average height difference compared to other mid west ski resorts. With 30 acres of skiable area, it's very lovely and small. Plenty of skiers travel up here from Oskaloosa, specifically on the weekends. you feel delightful. The winter months in Iowa is truly a wonderful time of year for snowboarding or skiing. You may have to settle for a hotel a bit away from the main area if you want to stay overnight, and if you make reservations ahead of going, you're all set.
