Bigrock gets covered by an average amount of snow each winter. There are 5 good ski lifts here, and they are well taken care of and controlled by friendly folks. The 28 ski runs at this ski resort are scenic. You have to go 142 miles to get to a ski resort with a greater drop from top to bottom. for a while are pleasant reasons to come. The 980 foot elevation difference is of course not that much to brag about, but Bigrock makes up for it by other means. Bigrock has an okay variety of ski slopes and a good selection of different ski lifts. A lot of skiers
| | from Bangor like to ski here. Bigrock has a much lower than average proportion of red and black trails and a much higher than average fraction of intermediate or beginner ski slopes. The 8 feet of good snow that fall here every season keeps the depth perfect. This is a cozy ski mountain in possession of a roughly average elevation difference if compared to other east coast ski resorts. the especially perfect ski trails have many snow skiers coming here. There aren’t any rooms in the neighborhood, but if you're prepared to journey a short distance then no problem, but do book a room previous to going since it is a very popular destination. The snowboarding and the skiing in Maine is lots of fun through the winter.
