Shawnee Peak   This ski area has 239 acres of skiing territory, and it's all in great shape. All 5 great ski lifts at this ski resort are enjoyable to take a ride with. This ski hill has a vertical drop of 1,300 feet; Shawnee Peak makes the most of it. This ski resort has an okay set of ski trails and a good quantity of ski lifts. Shawnee Peak gets covered by an average amount of snow every winter season. No other ski mountain for 21 miles has a more towering drop from top     to bottom. The seasonal snowfall of 9 feet keeps the coverage good. This is a conventional size ski area having a roughly average elevation difference when compared to other east coast ski mountains. Snowboarding and skiing in this part of Maine is loads of fun during the season. This ski mountain has a much lower than average share of advanced and expert ski trails and a much higher than average percentage of blue and green ski trails. This ski resort has a wonderful mixture of ski runs; it's totally impossible to get bored here. On this hill you'll discover 44 different slopes; there's a perfect mixture to satisfy everyone. The peaks of Maine in wintertime are a tremendous place for       skiing and snowboarding. You might be into skiing or snowboarding, or both, doesn't matter, there are scores of great places for that close at hand. Splendid exercise and getting out of the house for a while will have you coming back.   Shawnee Peak is a wonderful site for everyone with a lot of green and blue ski runs. There are great comfortable hotels here, and if you make reservations before you go, you're all set. The natural splendor of the Maine mountaintops and the pleasant sense of gliding down the runs make the spree here worthwhile.
