amount of snow each ski season. Shawnee Peak has a decent range of slopes and enough lifts to serve them all. You have to go 2420 miles to get to a ski area boasting a bigger height difference. The 8 feet of fluffy snow that falls here per year keeps the slopes well blanketed throughout the season. The Maine summits in the winter are something you can’t leave out in case you're addicted to skiing and snowboarding.
