| | This ski mountain has an ok collection of trails and a reasonable selection of lifts. You have to go 21 miles to get to a ski resort with a more sizeable elevation difference. Shawnee Peak is a mid-size ski area having a roughly average drop when you compare it to other ski resorts in the region. There's 239 acres of terrain, and all of it makes for nice skiing. The 1,300 feet of elevation difference is not too shaggy; Shawnee Peak makes great use of it all. The snowboarding and the skiing in this part of the country is loads of fun all winter season long. No deficiency of great accommodations, but do book a room previous to going as it is a very popular destination. Shawnee Peak is a great ski area with loads of different slopes; it's impossible to get bored here.
