Otis Ridge ski area, Massachusetts
|
| | I went to the snowboard camp at Otis Ridge last year. Hope I get to go again this year. says Dorothy.
Otis Ridge has a rather small mixture of trails and enough different ski lifts to serve them all. The skiable terrain being 60 acres, it's more of a relaxed style ski area. All the 11 ski runs here are good to ski on. This is a relaxed ski mountain in possession of a rather small altitude difference when you compare it to other ski hills in the region. With a 400 foot height difference it's not the tallest |
|
hill there is, but all the other great features of Otis Ridge make up for it. This ski mountain has a much lower than average ratio of tough slopes and a much higher than average share of intermediate or beginner trails. There are 5 ski lifts here, and they are
| | well kept up and managed by caring folks. No matter if you're skiing or snowboarding, in the neighborhood, you'll come upon many perfect places. Getting a little bit of perfect exercise and just hanging out with your skiing mates will make you delighted you came. The 6 feet of great snow that falls here annually keeps the coverage great. Otis Ridge gets blanketed by lower than average snow every winter season. The nearby lodgings are a bit far from the base area, but do book a room previous to going since it is a very | |

popular destination. When this sector of Massachusetts is blanketed in fluffy snow; it is the most grandiose time of the year for snowboarding or skiing. Otis Ridge is a magnificent ski resort for the whole family with lots of blue and green runs. Scores of skiers
from Pittsfield like to ski here. The skiing and the snowboarding in this region is a perfect thing to do the whole ski season.
Special features: Overnight camp for skiers and boarders age 8-16 during school vacation periods.
