Cochran Ski Center ski area, Green Mountains, Vermont
|
| | Cozy family operated ski hill. I love coming here. says Cody.
The 350 foot altitude difference is of course not that much to brag about, but Cochran Ski Center has so many other magnificent qualities. This ski resort has greater snowfall than the local average each season. Cochran Ski Center has a somewhat modest collection of runs and quite few lifts. The unbelievable 23 feet of seasonal snowfall is one of the reasons this is such a splendid ski mountain. The skiing area being 13 acres, it makes for a cozy |
|
skiing experience. There are 3 great ski lifts here, and they are fun to get a ride with. Cochran Ski Center is a cozy place controlled by caring folks. This ski mountain has a much lower than average ratio of expert and advanced ski slopes and a much higher than
| | average ratio of intermediate or beginner runs. All the 8 runs here are fun to ski on. Cochran Ski Center is a relaxed ski mountain in possession of a rather small drop from top to bottom when compared to other east coast ski resorts. You get scores of skiers going up here from Burlington-South Burlington on snow covered weekends. You may have to settle for a hotel a bit far away from the main area if you want to stay for a few days, but do reserve a room in advance of a trip because it is a very popular destination. | |

This is a family friendly ski resort with heaps of beginner and intermediate runs. The delightful snow covered Green Mountains peaks are a complete snowboarding and skiing delight. Some people prefer skiing and some snowboarding, either way, in this general region,
you'll discover a lot of ski resorts. The snow covered peaks of the Green Mountains make for a fine vista. The skiing and the snowboarding in this region is so much fun the whole winter. Getting a nice workout and just being on the ski slopes for a while are nice reasons to come. The wintertime months in Vermont is the most splendid time of the year for snowboarding and skiing.
